Colorado Door

Colorado Door had a problem. Several attempts to enlist the services of local application designers had fizzled out once the detailed investigation of requirements began. The application they needed was not a run of the mill shopping cart. So many details of cabinet doors affect the price and so many complexities exist in the order process, that the client was beginning to believe it wouldn't be possible online.

Then they called Colorado Web Design. We assured the client right up front that essentially no computing task is impossible to perform on the modern web. Careful planning and a thorough knowledge of existing technologies is all it took to articulate back to the client precisely how we would build this monster system.

Starting with the basic customer purchasing flow, we designed the system based on implications and details we learned along the way.

Our client now has a functional ordering system that lets him manage every aspect of the door ordering process and pricing structure. We also developed a streamlined user experience that accounts for the complexity, but in a clean ordering interface that tucks the details away and shows the customer clearly what pieces have been ordered.

Finally we added some dynamic content pages in a custom CMS solution, so the client can now draw attention to particular items he wishes to highlight, or general FAQ style details about their products and services.

The final product gives the client maximum flexibility to manage his online presence, while keeping as much as possible "under the hood" to avoid confusing either the client, or his web customers.
