Sustainable Toby
Tobias Kraft had a vision. As his college education expanded his horizons and his understanding of the world, he decided that he wanted to mesh one of his deepest loves, with his environmental conscience. The result was a cross-country trek using only recycled or sustainably produced equipment, from the clothing he wore, down to the 1970's era bike frame.
Colorado Web Design was contacted about the feasibility of a custom blogging application. Numerous blogging platforms exist out there, but this client knew he had specific requirements that he had not seen delivered by any existing application. That's where Colorado Web Design could help!
Starting with the basic blogging application concept, we built a framework that allows users to control critical elements of the layout without getting bogged down in a bunch of template installations or coding. With an image display function rivaling the slickest available in engines like Wordpress, the Colorado Blog engine was ready to shine.
Finishing touches included a robust social networking component, post tagging, and a search engine optimized titling and cross-linking system. Bloggers do not have to spend hours creating their own cross-linking strategy, but rather have only to identify critical keywords and synonyms, and let the system create its own cross-linking structure. The site got heavy traffic during the course of Tobias' journey and won him over with it's simplicity and elegance in the way items rendered for visitors. A terrific blog for a terrific cause and effort! You can still view the posts, start to finish.
